End of Summer Summer has come and passed, and to celebrate the transition I made a Negroni style cocktail to celebrate. Strawberry amaro meets tomato vermouth in the classic flavor combo that is sweet bitter and savory. Didn't want juniper in this cocktail so opted for Empirical Symphony 6, juicy, herbaceous, yet warm. Then, to bridge everything together, a tiny bit of strawberry cofermented coffee hydrosol, to add another interesting top note to the cocktail. It also is a bit of a shift in the direction I’ve been taking when making drinks- figuring and using what products are available to me, understanding flavors and interactions, and then making a special component here or there to help bridge things together.
Stirred, pony glass, no garnish.
